AUGUST RUSH

Wow, where did the time go?  I thought it was going to be a LONG month to end out our summer season...I was wrong. The past two weeks have flown by due to a few un-for-seen events.  So here's the short and the long of it.

2 babies were born on the Pearson side of the family.  Shawn & Angie D had Sydnie Lake Pearson 2.5 wks early with an emergency C-section.  Cameron and Sarah had Shane Cameron Pearson 6.5 wks early with lifeflight and a trip to the NICU for the next apx. 3 wks.  But both are doing well, thankfully.  Many blessings have been granted.

With the event of the second birth we have had the opportunity to watch Cameron's 3 other kids for a few days.  This has been a unique blessing for us that came in the midst of the trial of a premature little boy.  Living in different cities we haven't had this much quality time together with his kids.  We sure love them.

With these fun little visitors to our home, came a week full of  thinking of things to do with 5 kids in tow.  I hand it to all of you who do 5 on a daily basis.  The days really did go pretty smooth, but definitely a none stop responsibility.  It may sound strange after such a full week,  you'd think I'd be pulling my hair out, but being home with all these kids for four days, really did remind me just how much I love being a mother.  Hmm, maybe that pulling hair thing was just around the corner, don't get me wrong.  There were definitely times of chaos and a few tears, but all in all - lots of smiles.  However a nice LONG nap is calling, no SHOUTING my name.

We went swimming a few times, but always waited for Todd to get home to help with an extra set of arms and eyes.

We went to the park to play while Tyson took Tennis lessons.

The kids played lots of Wii games, Webkins, and Toontown on the PC.

One night we had pizza on the deck, a water fight and saw fireworks from the County Fair.

My two highlights of the week (well outside of Alyssa's first dance class of course ;0)  were PLINKO & the local AMUESMENT PARK.

Again, lots of pics...but it was such a fun week.  I'll have to get back to the slideshows next time.

One of these kids doesn't belong, one of them is not like the others... how does that Sesame Street song go?   ;0)  But nice cannonball dude!

I just love this picture.  Alyssa said she wants to marry either Dada OR SEAN!  Dada might be jealous about this new man. 105

We talked Lizzie into going on this coaster for a $1.  First time, she & Todd got the front row- YIKES!

Here she is with a surviving smile and dollar in hand!

This little Big Girl 'Lyssa is a free fall junkie.  She wanted to go on anything she could.  The ladybug drop just tickled her fancy!

So glad to hear that both babies are doing well. What tiny little miracles.

what fun to have NEW BABIES, happy to hear they are both doing well. And how GREAT are you to take the other three in. I'm sure their parents were so appreciative.
Looks like you guys had a LOT of fun.
Now it's back to school...ready or not!
