RUFF RHINOPLASTY

Our pet CHAMP (remember him), was SO excited to see a new (brand new) friend in the backyard- that when he saw Alyssa not looking, he decided to go straight in for the kiss- only missed- and kissed- with his teeth!

SO after many tears and melt downs that her brand new special special special Webkinz named Isabelle needed to be replaced at the store, Alyssa realized that it is better to keep her favorite new Isabelle and take her to the Allen Family Clinic for a quick operation.  Then, she’ll be good as new!

In the mean time- Izzy has been very good to wear her mask before surgery.

She is slated to be back in full swing by the end of the week.  Alyssa can’t wait!

O.K. 4 NOW

These two trotted off to school a few weeks ago.  They were both very excited this year.
4th Grade
Tyson loves school.  He has been waiting for the day when he could have his little sister ride on the bus with him.  He is SO happy to have a sibling at school with him.
Kindergarten
Alyssa has waited for a good three years in her mind to attend Elementary school.  She’ll be 6 yrs old in Dec.  and wishes she was 11!  This year is finally a culminating highlight for her.
Which leaves me…OK 4 NOW.
OK because Alyssa is just in Kindergarten.  I still get to have my baby around for half of the day.  Although I can’t keep her busy enough.  She get’s so bored.  We try books, coloring, computers, friends, and TV—still she wants more.  It will be a blessing for her when she is allowed to go to school full time.
4NOW because when next year comes and I have both my kiddo’s in school full time…I will have some adjusting to do.  But until then, we love school time, learning and growing.

FAMILY TIME

"Cousin to cousin we'll always be,

Special friends from the same family tree."

We’ve had a few family gatherings the past couple weeks which allowed for fun Allen cousin playtime.  It was great to have Brian and Heather in town for a bit.  It was nice to gather with family for some yummy dinner and relaxation.  The kids played and danced.  They missed their oldest cousin Kira, who had to work.  But it was nice for Grammy and Gramps to get a snapshot of (almost) all the grandkids together.

HONOR & DEFEND

TOGETHER WE WILL HONOR & DEFEND

our FREEDOM & our LAND!

Saturday, Todd and I proudly stood with parents and fans of this small town little league team, as they humbly walked this flowing symbol of freedom across their field.  In memoriam of 911.  In honor of an assistant coach who has served our country respectfully in our country’s war against terrorism.

5 LIL’ DUCKS & WHITE LIGHTNING

We experienced some rather finicky weather in August.  Rain, then shine, strong winds, a dab of shine, semi-warm, maybe not, a sprinkle here, now THUNDER, ok, back to a pinch of sun.

I happened to have my camera near (imagine that) and the window cracked when I heard drops of laughter from down the street getting nearer.  I opened my door to see these five little ducks, or rather five little chickies, just a flit’n as fast as they could from house to house for shelter under the porches.  Then they would giggle again and head out once more.  They stayed on my porch for a while to chat, then just before they left my cozy nest, we all were in for a show.  Suddenly we saw a FLASH of lightning streak by, then we took a second look and realized it wasn’t a flash of lightning after all.  Nope- it was just Tyson FAST AS LIGHTNING!  He darted out of our driveway at LIGHTNING SPEED with such a fun grin on his face.  He rode round and round with the rain on his face.  “AH, what a welcomed sight”, he must’ve thought.

After the show was over, the little chicks were ready to move on again.  When they left my porch, I couldn’t help but say to them,

“Hey girls…why don’t you hold hands this time?” 077083088090091

BRIGHT DAYS, NEON NIGHTS

With the resurgence of all things BRIGHT and 80’s, It seems I’m enjoying life again a little more in living COLOR these days.  (major flashbacks)  This summer the days we spent at the pool were WHITE HOT and oh so BRIGHT.  The kids always have a ball and enjoyed spending time with friends.  Tyson had a group of boys over for Pizza and swimming after football one night.  They had a blast in the NEON lit pool!

GOLD & SILVER FALLS

After inspecting morning tide pools, the whole clan set out for a quick lunch on the boardwalk, then off to high ground.  We hiked a few small trails to the waterfalls.  The country side was beautiful and lush.  The kids had a great time.  Heather and Brian were a joy to watch with one kids walking and the other two packed up there on their backs and tummies.  Nice day, nice weather.  Just right-
