Those who know me best, know I CRAVE the rain. The coast, the ocean, the breeze and a nice cool temp of 60-70 degrees. Now that’s what I call a recipe of perfection. Don’t get me wrong, rainy days and moisture always need to be broken through by rays of warmth and sunlight. But weeks of parchment and blistering temp just don’t bode well in my book without a refreshing cleanse on a weekly basis. Hence…I was in heaven. The rest of the family was too, but they could’ve used another 10 degree hike.
We hit the Oregon Coast about a few hrs before sunset and stopped at the beach to lavish in it’s beauty. We were in a hurry to get to our destination for the night, so we didn’t stay long, just long enough. Our whistles were finally wet.
Just take a look at the last photo. That OR Coast Highway we got to drive miles of, you know, the one that darts in and out of rain and shine, mist then sunlight, rocky cliffs and beaches then back through the forests…
…AHH, REFRESHING!
