The kids woke bright and early on Christmas morn. We talked them into each taking showers before we went up stairs. (Funny how they fall for that time decoy) The extra twenty minutes of shut eye is always worth askin’!
This is the first year that the kids have had their presents from Santa wrapped up and not set out and displayed. Santa thought it was much easier this year, considering the quick change of venue and all. The kids were excited all the same. They both sat down and waiting anxiously to start opening their presents in turn. We added some fun Christmas music in the background as we watched them dance in succession as well. It was a fun surprise to see them both dancing and jiving to music for Grandma Suzie. The carefree spirit they had that morning was a joy to share in.
They were both very excited this year to give each other the gifts they had picked out and wrapped for one another as well as for Mom and Dad. The picture below, shows them both smiling and hugging each other when they opened their gifts. It really was quite cute. It makes all the times they banter and moan and groan about being siblings worth it.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast and relaxing day. It was nice to have Christmas on the Sabbath this year. It added an even greater reverence to the special day.
