“Mom, look! Somebody wrote my name on a piece of paper. How come someone would write my name.” Alyssa says this as she hands me the page with her name now underlined by her so I can see it better.
“ I did Alyssa. That was me, because I love your name. Did you know that I picked what name to give you, and I chose Alyssa.”
“Why mom, why did you do that? Why didn’t you pick Lala Pop?”
“Uh, I’m not sure. Do you wish your name was Lala?”
“Lala Pop, mom. Yeah, cause Big Girl Alyssa isn’t that cute.”
