Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the quiet voice
at the end of the day, saying,
"I will try again tomorrow."
Scott and Sky Boy - Summer of 2006
Today marks the 2 year date since Scott left this world for the next. I can't quite place where my feelings are today. For me it is different than last year, and yet the sadness remains. Just a different kind.
Last year the family started a tradition to go out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with whoever is around and enjoy a bit of time together. This year it happened that it was just Todd and me and Lesa in town. But we wanted to continue the tradition of this for the future, without skipping. Even Todd's parents are on vacation. Brian and Heather live out of state.
We had a nice time. It was good, and familiar. Lesa is a beautiful woman and does such a great job as a Mother and Provider for her family.
We will all continue to press forward the best we can, while knowing pieces of our hearts are left in the wonderful memories of Scott we all hold so dear.

Wish we could have been there. Where was Chad?
That picture just makes you sit and stare and hope he'll turn around, doesn't it?
Candy,
I am so glad you started this tradition. You definitley need something to remember and remind you of Scott and the wonderful memories of his time her on earth.
As the years pass you always remember but the pain will dullto and extent but it is still there and you just miss them. I love you guys and can't wait to see you soon.
Chad is with John and Anne.
