I mustn't forget our favorite part of Christmas…that being Christmas Eve and Christmas morning of course. We enjoyed a quiet evening at home with a candle light/lamp light dinner for 4 and stories of the Christ child born in a manger. We talked about the sweet symbols of Christmas and what they mean to us. Then we made Santa’s favorite treat at our house…Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Not the cookies…just the dough. Even the reindeers like the dough. We set some out for them as well with sparkly glitter so they could find it easier. Todd told the kids that he requests different things at each house. Some houses he even requests Lasagna. You should have see the kids faces. It was cute. Also, Alyssa decided she wanted to give the elves a present and we found a box at our front door with a pretend can of food in it. We asked her about it and she said she doesn’t have a pretend can opener for it- so she doesn’t need it anymore. Silly. Tyson said his pajama’s from our Christmas Elf Lance Dewberry Good were one of his favorite. Because they were football and most of all, SO COLORFUL!
Christmas morning was great. Somehow we talked the kids into getting into the bath before going down to see the presents…WHAT? It worked though. Tyson even took time to brush Alyssa’s hair for her while they gazed out the window to find sleigh tracks on other rooftops. It MUST be Christmas.
Then off we flew down the stairs to see all the fun surprises Santa brought and friends and family gave. We were very blessed this year.
