JUST RIGHT

We had a fun little FHE last night.  We took the kids for a quick swim, knowing the storm would not be far off.  We ended up with a nice lesson in service, as Todd noticed right as we sat down in our chairs that the neighbors lawn was flooding.  Off he and another guy went to help scoop BUCKETS and BUCKETS of water from their pooling lawn and out of their window wells and basement.  It was neat to see that within a matter of minutes there were plus 10 people there in the muddy grass doing what ward families do best.

I snagged the kiddo’s from the pool before the storm came too close, and after the flooding was under control, we headed home to watch the lightning storm start.  We grabbed warm brownies and milk and sat together with blankets out on our deck, while the electricity light up the sky.  It was pretty cool.  Todd played around with the camera and was able to capture a few bolts.

So sweet! I love reading your blog and getting to know your family a little better. My heart broke for Alyssa when I read about her arm! Poor baby. She is the cutest darn thing. And Tyson ... hello mini Todd! Your trip to Alaska looked incredible. Gotta love Blogs!!! xoxox

You and Todd certainly have a talent for photography. These pics a awesome. And isn't if funny that gray storm clouds aren't gray at all--they're blueish purple.
