We took a year off from our garden, and we really missed it, not the work…especially Todd, but we did miss the beauty, the produce and the harvest. This year we missed a few weeks of planting some crops, but we were still able to get in the necessary vegetables for salsa making in the fall. Yum! The kids are always so willing to help plant and cultivate the garden. Man I wish they had that enthusiasm for housework.
Alyssa and I also started a mini herb garden. I have a lot to learn about how to do it properly. It will be so nice to have fresh herbs to cook from though. I am excited to add to it as time goes by.
