ROOTS OF FAITH... GROW WITH THIS ONE.

"Important components of faith are

patience, long suffering, and enduring to the end."

Spencer J. Condie-

Earth life a Journey, Not a Final Destination

If you're lucky enough to drive down a certain little county lane in a quiet little valley, you will find this beauty tucked near the road in the southwest corner of a lazy field.  If you don't know it's there, you might miss it, almost hidden from view by a few others that may be larger.

My brother first pointed this out to me about a year ago.  I have loved to pass by it ever sense.  I remember him pulling over to show me and saying  "Look at this tree, he doesn't even know he shouldn't be alive."

This miracle of a tree I'm guessing was uprooted in a storm some time ago when it was smaller. Yet, even though it's odds of survival were slim with that much of it's lifeline damaged, somehow it managed to dig deeper with all it's might with less than a third of it's roots remaining.  Look at how even the large dead limb on the ground is still there propping it up.  I wonder, is it possible that there are new roots that grew there?  I'll have to check.  Anyhow, this little miracle is growing strong.  It buds every year.  It continues to drink from the earth   gathering sufficient nutrients during it's summer bath in the sun, to allow it to weather stormier seasons successfully.

... I LOVE IT...

"Remember, faith and doubt cannot exist in the mind at the same time, for one will dispel the other. Cast out doubt. Cultivate faith. Strive always to retain that childlike faith which can move mountains and bring heaven closer to heart and home.

When firmly planted, your testimony of the gospel, of the Savior, and of our Heavenly Father will influence all that you do throughout your life. It will help to determine how you spend your time and with whom you choose to associate. It will affect the way you treat your family, how you interact with others. It will bring love, peace, and joy into your life."

Wow - where is that? Is that down in Richfield or up here close? Very cool little tree - that made me laugh when he said it doesn't even know it shouldn't be alive.
